The Dark Lord and the Hero, the Veteran and the Rookie, an Innocent Bystander and a Hardened Criminal. Familiar archetypes and tropes.
Plenty of normal and expected scenarios exist where similar or opposing archetypes have to work together, or opposite one another. But, what happens when you mix up said archetypes and scenarios? Chaos ensues, that’s what!
For this challenge, the goal is to use the Archetype Gen to procure your main characters and see what stories you can weave involving them. You have a choice; either you can take the provided characters and come up with a scenario on your own, or, if you like pain, you can take one of the scenarios suggested by the Archetype Gen itself.
Can you write a story like that?
Challenge Specs:
- Archetype Gen (Unlimited rerolls): Use this Gen to establish the main characters for your story. They can be friends, family or strangers to each other. You can use any of the 4 options; Scenario might be especially useful.
For an additional challenge, try using these words or themes in your story: Fools and Orderly
Your task: write a story of at least 10,000 words by the end of the month.
Submitting your story:
Be sure to include the generated results where possible so that we can see what you were working with.
