Now that September is here, many should be settling back into the school routine, and the writers among us should be looking ahead to the near future; this year’s NaNoWriMo is just around the corner.
To get us back into the swing of things, how about something a bit more challenging? You guessed it; you have 10 days to write a short story of at least 10,000 words. There is no upper limit to the word count.
For this exercise, you can use whichever Gens take your fancy. This is a good opportunity to put the newest Gens to good use; for those who missed them, the Job Gen, and the Brand Gen V1 are the latest additions to the RanGen family. Be sure to check them out, because who wouldn’t want to work 63 hours a week for £2.90 per hour as a cashier 47 miles away from their house? Or take on a job as a Bouncer for a morally bankrupt company?
Have you ever bought anything from the Gapple store? Maybe you have a question that you don’t know the answer to? Just Boogle it! Also, if you’ve had enough of social media sites Facebook and Twitter, you could always try FaceFeed or Palworld instead. 😀
You can write as many stories as you wish in any genres that you choose.
Send your stories to RanGen HERE (please don’t send them as attachments; put the story in the body of the email), and write your name (it doesn’t need to be your real name) and “September Writing Challenge” in the subject line. If you’re having trouble sending long stories in one email, split it in two and clearly mark both as part 1 and part 2.
Alternatively, you can create a free account on Wattpad and submit your stories there. Don’t forget to send me the link!
Be sure to include with your story the results of any Gens you use!
