It’s that time again; time for a new Writing Challenge!
For February, the goal is to use the Terrain and the Magical Artifact Gens as well as the Quick Character Gen OR the Appearance and Personality Gens.
Use these Gens to write a short story, between 5,000 and 10,000 words (about 6 – 11 pages), before the 25th of the month.
Terrain Gen (Free use): Use this Gen to determine the locations in your story. You may generate as many terrains as you want.
Magical Artifact Gen (Semi-restricted): Use this Gen to produce an important driving force in your story. You may choose any artifact that you like, but you can only use ONE.
—And—
Quick Character Gen (Free Use): Use this Gen to generate a character or two for your story. You may have as many characters as you like, and the characters can be main, secondary or background characters, as long as they are visible somewhere.
—OR—
Appearance Gen and Personality Gen (Semi-restricted): Use these two Gen to produce one or more characters for your story. They can be your protagonists, antagonists or important supporting characters. Do NOT mix and match results generated results.
You can write as many stories as you wish in any genres that you choose.
Send your stories to RanGen HERE (please don’t send them as attachments; put the story in the body of the email), and write your name (it doesn’t need to be your real name) and “February Writing Challenge” in the subject line. If you’re having trouble sending long stories in one email, split it in two and clearly mark both as part 1 and part 2.
