Ok guys, this is it! One last challenge before NaNoWriMo arrives to kick our butts. It’d like to, but we’re not about to let that happen, are we? ARE WE!?

Anyway, this time around, how about we focus on partnerships willing or otherwise? Perhaps an epic journey where two or more individuals form an unlikely group? Or a couple of friends who set out for some distant destination?
For this challenge, we’ll be using the First Encounter, Journey and Species Gens.
The goal, is to write a short story of at least 5,000 words (about 11 pages), before the 25th of the month using the aforementioned Gens:
First Encounter Gen (Free Use): Use this Gen to determine the main driving force between your main and a secondary character.
Journey Gen (Semi-restricted): Take your story to interesting new places by incorporating an epic journey of at least 250 miles. The more, the merrier! Do not use fast/modern modes of transport! Traveling by foot (human or animal), carriage, boat, primitive airship, etc is fine.
Species Gen (Free Use): Use this Gen to populate your story; the species you choose can be your main species, an enemy species, or a mythical one! Use as many as you wish.
You can write as many stories as you wish in any genres that you choose.
Send your stories to RanGen HERE (please don’t send them as attachments; put the story in the body of the email), and write your name (it doesn’t need to be your real name) and “October Writing Challenge” in the subject line. If you’re having trouble sending long stories in one email, split it in two and clearly mark both as part 1 and part 2.
Alternatively, you can create a free account on Wattpad and submit your stories there. Don’t forget to send me the link!
Be sure to include with your story the results of all the generators!
