To those who haven’t noticed, there’s a new Gen available; the Archetype Gen. If you need an interesting new character or NPC but aren’t sure what type of personality they should have, why not let this Gen come up with something for you? Expect some strange suggestions and crazy plot twists as a result!
In the run up to NaNoWriMo, to keep the writing muscles in good shape, I’ll be running a little writing game/challenge on the 1st of each month (excluding November). Everyone is welcome to try their luck at it.
The challenge is to write a short story based on the results of a specific selection of generators.
Starting on the 1st and ending on the 22nd, you have 3 weeks to write a short story between 5,000 and 10,000 words long.
At the end, all the submitted stories will be made available to read on the site and various winners will be selected for various reasons.
For now, the winners will receive a round of applause and their name up on the site in big sparky letters (Warning: big sparkly letters not included).
This is a great opportunity to get in some practice, especially if you’re new to writing or NaNoWriMo, or if you want a slightly different challenge. That, or perhaps you’re up for a bit of fun and a few giggles?
I’ll specify which Gens should be used on the first, as well as details for how to submit finished stories on the 1st. In the meantime, if you have any questions or suggestions, let me know!
