Welcome to December. Happy Monday!
For all you Wrimos who made it through this year’s challenge, well done! Give yourself a pat on the back! Those who started but didn’t manage to finish, well done for giving it a go in the first place; who knows what next year will bring. You deserve a pat on the back too. For everyone else, including those who didn’t take part in NaNoWriMo at all, ah, you can have a free pat on the back too; I’m giving them out! *Pat, pat*
Anyway!
I’ve partly been massively busy, and partly been slacking, but mostly been massively busy, but not so much that I haven’t still been working on new and old Gens alike, as well as the site. If you were using the site and it suddenly went kaput in the middle of it for no reason… That wasn’t me… Eheheh…
I’ve updated all but one of the Gens (that one will take a while to update, but I’ve got it in my sights), so hopefully, aside from noticing a minor format change, you’ve noticed a large increase in the speed the Gens throw out results. If you notice any Gens that aren’t working properly, please give me a shout and I’ll get onto fixing them right away.
In addition to updating the Gens themselves, I come bearing two new Gens; Novel Titles, and Murphy’s Law. Both can be used seriously or humorously, and will make for some interesting stories, that’s for sure…
Just in case you’re wondering, I haven’t forgotten about the Fantasy option in the Plot Gen at all. I’ve been working on it but it’s a little bit tricky on account of all the millions of different sub genres of Fantasy that exist…Add to that the fact that I always like to get the Gens to a certain size before I release them, it takes a while before they see the light of day. But! I’m going to try and relax that rule a bit and release smaller Gens earlier and more frequently, and update them more often to compensate. That said, I intend to get the Fantasy option out this week, so keep an eye out for that.
And of course, stop by for a chat, follow RanGen on Twitter for smaller updates and random silliness, and as always, have fun!
