Time for the June Writing Challenge!
The Gens for this challenge are: the Terrain, Magical Artifact, and Villainous Abode Gens.
The objective of the challenge is to use the aforementioned Gens and turn their results into a short story between 5,000 and 10,000 words (about 6 – 11 pages). The specifications are as follows:
Terrain Gen (Free use): Use this Gen to determine the locations in your story. You may generate as many terrains as you want.
Magical Artifact Gen (Semi-restricted): Use this Gen to produce an important driving force in your story. You may choose any artifact that you like, but you can only use ONE.
Villainous Abode Gen (Free Use): Use this Gen to generate an evil lair for your antagonist. Or perhaps your protagonist hangs out here?
You are free to use any other Gens to help you with your story.
Writing can be continued until the 22nd of June. Stories can be submitted at any point between the 1st and the 25th. You can do more than one story if you want.
Send your stories to RanGen HERE (please don’t send them as attachments; put the story in the body of the email), and write your name (it doesn’t need to be your real name) and “June Writing Challenge” in the subject line. If you’re having trouble sending long stories in one email, split it in two and clearly mark both as part 1 and part 2. After the 25th, the stories will be made available to read on the site and the winners will be selected and announced on the site.
Be sure to include with your story the results of all the generators aforementioned Gens, and the results of any other Gens that you use!
